Default '5th Gear'

Formerly 'Top Gear', Channel 5.... 8p.m. tonight (Monday). Most of the old crew, and Quentin Wilson is back.

Look forward to it...

Looks like the Beeb did a crafty clear out of the old crew, so that Clarkson could have a slot all to himself

5th gear or Scrapheap Challenge? (Okay, Junkyard Wars...)

Took me all of 2 seconds to decide

BTW here's something about 5th gear.

They were filming for a 0-60 article, with the Tiger twin bike engined car. Tiff was learning to drive the Tiger, but was putting in crap times. So the owner, Chris IIRC took a turn. Did around 3.6s to 60. So Tiff has another go. Now, the Tiger has 2 gear shift levels, one for each engine - kind of like 747 throttles. This time, Tiff cocks the shift up, and only upshifts one of the engines. Now as they're linked....
conrod out the block etc, one very blown engine

Tiff allegedly didn't even apologise to the guy!
