The s doesent have a timing belt, it has a timing chain, and these are normally good for longer than 72k

Yes the spark plugs are on the list for the 54k service.

Brake pads is a good idea - they may even tell you your discs are getting worn.

Ask them to make sure they grease your hood seals.

I think mine came in around

Hey A.E.

Regarding spark plugs, I have recently had the spark plug recall done and was given a sticker to put on my service book. The spark plugs are Denso Iridium spark plugs, details on the sticker are:

NGK: PFR7G-11S
DENSO: PK22PR-L11S

Sorry to dredge this up but the first post mentions checking the valve covers.

Is thtat some way to check that they have taken the covers off and done something? If so how does one check?

Yes! They are supposed to check the valve clearances but may possibly just rest their hand on the running engine to feel if there is any excessive vibration and not bother removing the valve cover to check properly.

Not exactly sure of a fullproof way to check.
