I'm booked in at Grinspeed next week,

£305 as a fixed price all in for a complete service, plugs all fluids and valve gaps..

Simon.
Sounds too good to be true.

I just bought all fluids from Honda, including spark plugs (which were bought from eBay for £35) and payed £185.

I was quoted £659 by honda Liverpool for the following:

Oil+filter change
Diff oil change
Gearbox oil change
Air filter change
Break fluid change
Pollen filter change
Spark plug change
Aircon re-gas
Well I'll feed back next week after the job is done.....

Called Thames Ditton Honda yesterday as need the 54k plus an MOT. Quoted £601.54 with an MOT thrown in. No owners club discount available and they would not allow supply of own plugs as they had to be Honda supplied.... I asked about the 12+ so the chap built a price on that of £503 but I would have to pay for the MOT on top. Only plus point was they would collect the car from work and deliver it back so pricey but convenient.

Quote from TGM is almost half the price if I supply my own oil. Think I might go with that and forgo the full dealer service history it has thus far.

Crown Honda Bushey charge £536 for this including an MOT, and gave me a 10% discount, so £480 all in, or an equivalent of £450 or so if you exclude the MOT.

How much exactly was TGM?

Think Tom said 335 + an MOT, less 40 if I supply my own oil. £450 would be OK but Bushey is on the opposite side of London. Will have a think about it.

Go to wherever is most convenient. Crown give me a courtesy car too, which makes it all relatively painless, and it's only 8 miles away from me, so it makes a good deal of sense to go there.

Pretty sure Tom said their service also includes the gearbox oil, plus he sounds like he knows what he is talking about. Unlike the Honda guy who was all confused about the transmission oil. Think I will have to 'work from home' and pop down to Fleet.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to have the 54K service within an hours drive of Sheffield.

I have looked at TDI north but its 2 hours drive away.

Does anyone know if any of the Honda dealers around here have a good rep for the s2000 service?
