I'm looking at a final drive and 2 way lsd upgrade

I also recommend buying new crush sleeves, spacers etc etc and NOT using the standard Honda backlash settings!.

Because the installation is then done correctly, its more safety first and you get the correct sizes etc, reduce change of whine if installed correctly and ring+pinion sit correctly.

When you install an FD you'll need extra bits to begin with.

I cant rememeber all the bits, I gave Andy (above) the list and he bought these parts and used them in his install and had no problems

Just get it to the best local rally car prep guy you know, ask the rally forums.

They will be building RWD diffs on a daily basis, most gearbox shops won't as 75% work is FWD I suspect now.

Any of you progress this yet?
Im interested in the Cusco 1.5 with a gearing shift too.
Even at fastest circuits like Spa you dont ever see all the gears so a 160mph geared car is pointless with 240bhp IMO.

Tom at TGM is going to fit it for me early in Jan. I'll be leaving the car with him on the 2nd and picking it up the following weekend.

What else will I need or can I rely on TGM to source the necessary bits for a safe install.

They are off shelf parts.
You need to add different shims/spacers to set backlash between the ring and pinion gears and all are different.
It's time consuming, I have done this type of work but it was a VERY long time ago and now I will struggle tbh.

What did you opt for?

I always find I want to be over 1k rpm lower in every gear, so guess a 4.57 would be about right?

Maybe I'm getting confused dont you mean, its sits highier in every gear with aftermarket final drive?

Yes.
I am a numpty.

I should have said I wnat to be at least 1k rpm higher in any gear.
With that as a minimum I should find vtec better at my favourite track.
Actually 1500 rpm up would be best...
