Yesterday I ordered the 4.57 final drive gear, fitting kit and yellow box from Rick[1].

I decided today that I would try and get hold of a diff off a low milage car from a breaker. I completed an online part finder form and spent the morning answering calls from breakers wanting to sell me a diff with prices ranging from

What was the total cost in STERLING if you don't mind me asking?

Very interested in doing this mod myself as no need to go above 140mph on a daily basis

I'm still keen on this too. Steven, I did a Google search and found someone between you and me - I bookedmarked it at home so I'll post it later if I can't find it in a minute.

I'm thinking of sourcing the 4.44 final drive from someone and getting the yellow box and fitting kit from Rick

EDIT: Here we go - Autosportif in Bicester

http://www.autosportif-performance.co.uk/gearboxes.htm

I was intending on either removing my diff and sending it to them or going down there and seeing if they could fit the final drive in a day, maybe asking a bit much to do it all in a day though

The gears are most definitely starting to look tempting - maybe we could have a group buy price for the install.

Craig,

Could you let me know where you get the 4.44's from?

The thought had crossed my mind AB, its just the inconvenience of dropping the diff off the car for a few days. You might be OK with that though

I will do Lou, just trying to find out the part number to see if it can be sourced from a local dealer by myself The US part number isn't coming up on the KIA local dealer's computer system

Craig - have you read some of the comments about the 4.44 gear set? Quite a few people have mentioned not feeling a huge difference.

Have you guys seen the "how to" on removing the diff? Seems to be a quite a challenging task.
