27k service DIY question
Dear all
As my car is now out of warranty I was going to do the service with a mate of mine who's a mechanic. Anyway, I checked the service schedule and I notice, along with the usual stuff, it says somthing about setting tappets or valve clearances. I wondered whether this is just something that applies to the lesser Honda models rather than the S2000, or it's something that is required on the S2000 and requires some specialist tools.
Also, I know it's not on the service schedule but I've read about suspension bolts seizing. Is it worth lubricating these to avoid probs in future, and has anybody done this themselves.
Many thanks in advance for any views.
Regards

DIY valve clearance
And yes I would grease the suspension bolts but a) don't grease the thread of the bolt and b) make sure the suspension is under load which it will be if on a ramp or by jacking up the lower arm wishbone to simulate the weight of the car on the suspension.
Look for a post in the UK forum about the suspension bolt issue as more experienced people have posted there.
