27k/36 month service
Just had my 27k/36 month service.
If I read the schedule aright they shd have changed the diff oil. Although I have been billed for the engine oil there is no mention of diff oil. Nor is the box ticked on the service sheet.
So have they done the service correctly? What wd you do?
Somewhat peeved also because I was refused a courtesy car because I am too old. Not a problem that wd affect most of you. If I can insure an S for about

Also try to approach them like this:
"What are you going to do to rectify this problem.... diff oil not changed, etc"
rather than:
"Why didn't you check the diff oil and tick the sheet"
I bet it provokes a more open and positive response than the accusatry tone of the question "Why" which more often than not, will result in a defensive, or negative response.

Well, you didn't say that
and i'd still stick by my technique, it's not concilatory, just a method - firm, but provoking a positive response, rather than making them defensive and negative, just a suggestion - it's worked IME, that's all. (not trying to teach grandpa to suck eggs )

It didn't mention the diff oil on my invoice or the air cleaner element but I'd be concerned that they hadn't done it if it wasn't ticked on the schedule
Give them a chance to rectify it, its only fair. If you're not entirely satisfied let the dealer principal know whats happened. He'd want to know if his people are "cocking up" and loosing customers and future sales, otherwise how else can he correct the situation.
The courtesy car thing is just bizarre , but more ammo for you if you have to speak to the dealer principal or Honda U.K. as a last resort.
Whip the top off the airbox while you're at it to check if there's a new cone there.

Shouldn't the brake fluid be changed at 27k as well?
This is what perturbs me about the diff oil.

i would seriously question this with the dealer. it would be all to easy for them to say 'oh yes, we did it but because the mechanic didn't tick the box we didn't charge you for it'. they need to do it again even if they inist they did it first time around.
