Default 27000 mile service - some work not done

Just had my 27000 mile service done today (3 years old and 18000 miles). I was checking the service checklist tonight and there is no tick against the following:

Inspect and adjust valve clearances
Check transmission fluid
Replace fuel filter
Replace differential fluid
Replace brake fluid.

Now, these were not mentioned to me at the time I picked the car up. There is no mention of diff fluid, brake fluid or fuel filter on the invoice so I hope that the mechanic has decided they did not require replacement. I'm a bit suspect though as its some time before the filter and fluids are on the checklist again (years in fact). I'll be calling the dealer in the morning...

PS: I also have an additional visual checklist with the fluids marked as green and the statement "do not change adjust or top up without authorisation"

PPS: The dealer in question has been fine before - I've been going there for almost a decade.

mine had it's 27k a month ago, so I checked what my ticklist says...

1) I've got a tick for valve clearance (in fact the mechanic said he was surprised that the so few valves required adjustment)
2) transmission fluid is unticked, but I think this is ok. there are 3 categories, MT, AT and CVT. as the S is MT, and there is no box, this doesn't require a check
3) replace fuel filter is scribbled out, so I'm gonna query that
4) replace differential fluid is s2000 only for 27k, but I don't have a tick either - UH OH!
5) replace brake fluid has a tick

so, looks like I will be visiting my dealer soon!... cheers for bringing this up!...

Depends on your mileage

The transmission fluid change made a big difference to my gear change - I'd insist that this were done. I'm convinced that my valve test wasn't done at 54k though.

I see on my 63k schedule received yesterday that the change sparkplugs box has been ticked, yet for a S2k this is required at 54k. I guess that more concentration was spent on the service than service schedule

I was told the fuel filter is not changed at 27k.

My valves needed adjusting to.

Changed my own GB oil - made no difference at all.

IIRC one or two of these items had not been ticked on my list at Chathams, Abbeyhill. I think I queried them, but the service receptionist said all the work had been done.

(mind you, he's the same guy that said hard tops don't warp, and who told me my brake pads all needed changing (at 4000 miles old!) )
