Was shocked when I drove up to Perth from York on friday. I managed to get 268 miles out of a full tank of Optimax. I was V-Teching most of the way too (especially on the REALLY boring A66!!) I still had one bar left in the tank but didn't want to risk going further as the next petrol station was 20 miles away!

Best I've ever managed is 301 miles (mainly motorway at a steady 70mph). Fuel light had been on for about 40 miles and no bars were showing on the dash.

Worst I've ever managed is 138 miles encompassing the drive to and from Bedford Autodrome, and approx 30 laps of hard driving!

I did a A12, M25, M3, 285 mile round trip the other day and still had 4 bars left, V Tec about twice the whole trip. Hate that M25 I couldn't do that every day.

138 miles? oooooh, groan! Well worth it tho I'm sure! Made the cardinal sin yesterday though, had to put some 95 ron unleaded in to get me to the shell garage! yuck!

My S breathed a sigh of relief once the optimax started flowing through her veins again last night!
