Default 225 or 245 ?

I currently run 17" wheels with Goodyear F1'sfront and rear.

The fronts are 215's and the rears 225's.

I need new rears and wondered the pros and cons of fitting 245 rears ?

I thought that in anything other than the stock Bridgestones, you fit a larger size, ie. 225 front and 245 rear. Mind you that refers to the OEM 16" rims on the pre MY04s ...

The front is fine but the rear OEM Bridgstones have the same contact patch as a 245 wheel therefore youshould get a 245 tyre for the rear.

It depends what width your wheels are, but the 17" sizes from the factory are 215/45/17 front, 245/40/17 rear. Always try to keep the stagger.

It also depends on the rim width - One would hope the aftermarket rims are at least as wide as the OEMs.
