OK well that seems quite conclusive!! No platinum white for me then eh!
I had no idea that it would be snagged on the engine for the SVA(neither did my not so smarter importer) !
What difficulties are there for the MY04/05 SVA test?
Thanks for your help and that great video link !

SVA issues are there is no "model report" for car later than 03. So to get them in a "strict" inpsector will make you adhere to that report.
Ask Andy Doherty about is 04 JDM he imported
Platinum White is available on 99-03 JDM's but it is VERY rare I've only ever seen two with it on auctioned in Japan.
Try http://www.bonsaicars.co.uk/
Right now there is
white pearl
Monza with full red
AP2 Moonrock
Three you will never see over here!

I had an MY04 2.2 in Canada.
Pros:
- Torque low down was better and delivery was smoother through to VTEC
- Although quoted at 237 BHP, US dynos regularly showed it to push out 260 BHP
Cons:
- 8k rpm red-line
Weighing up the above pros & cons you would think that common sense would mean that the 2.2 would be the best choice? Not for me, 2.0 and 9k rpm makes the car what it is.
