Default 2008 model year

Long time no post on here. Other 'projects' keeping me away but looking about joining the fold again.

Have been doing some research into what I can buy new and I have been quoted some prices for 2007 and 2008 models. I have spent some time doing searches on the forum and have also gone back to page 10 and can find no discussion on it.

Am told the 2008 model has different wheels and suspension. Can anyone help please ?

I have googled and I found some US coverage but wondered if someone can update on UK - photos ?

There was once a time when I could have answered this myself but have drifted and am now returning (I have not had as much fun than an S2000...).

Thanks in advance

GUY

Hi,

Wheels are lighter and it's been rumoured we get the S2000CR rear anti-roll bar, but info's still hard to come by.

Honda's popular roadster, the S2000 is getting a revamp too. It's already excellent handling and performance characteristics for which it is renowned will be enhanced by new suspension, identical to that currently on the Japanese spec Type S version. Hailed for its exciting and engaging drive, the S2000 be awarded with numerous driver power surveys.

Hi AE - interesting to see who is still around....

Thanks for that - thought the revision would be hotter news here. I remember the 'facelifts' having huge threads in 2002 and alike.

I know the pics are for the US car but the UK car should look about 90% the same. Personally I don't like the wheels but then again, who cares.

Too true. Recently I saw an MX5 parked on the side of the road and couldn't help thinking that the wheels looked very similar to those on the 2008 S2000. However, you have to admit that the side view photo of the S2000 with the hood down and covered proves that the S2000 is still the best looking convertible around today (despite the wheels ).
