Throttle bodies,possibly?

Anyone who thinks they are going to get 20-30 bhp with a few bolts on bits is living in cloud cuckoo land (otherwise known as the USA).
Best on a budget - change final drive, decatted 70mm single exit exhaust (weight savings and a little more free flowing) and ditch more weight with lighter seats, ditch spare tyre etc.
Far better to improve the suspension set up than to try and eek out a few horsepower at the top of the rev range, IMO.

'Can o worms' here pal.
My view.
The S is very well tuned to begin with so improving on a brilliant design is quite a task to begin with.
1) Dont listen to the yanks otherwise youll can get 20WHP from a decat and filter!
2) The stock Ecu on earlier models has some scope but not alot, when working/talking with a guy who does tuning when you add mods you dont get the best benefit out of them by just adding them alone, you need an ECU remap too.
3) 20BHP @ wheel or fly? Youll need a big pocket but manifolds etc dont yield much of a gain be careful what you choose, some rob off the top end and vice versa.
4) If money is no object id personally get.
J's manifold
J single pipe exhaust + decat
J's ECU
J air filter system
Mega money!! ~3k, is Andy knocking about .
But then im biased and id say get gears!

To get more BHP, new valve train, cams and breathing should sort it. You'll then be able to up the rev range by a few 1000 and you'll get more BHP.
But even then you'll need a new ECU.
s2ook - I read the spoon HG LOWERS the compression on a 11.7:1 CR JDM F20C .. so I don't think it'll put you in the 12's on a euro one.

I echo all the above.
In intake, exhaust manifold, decat and exhaust system do work wonders with a remap, but bear in mind that would potentially cost a few thousand pounds and you just cant justify it.
I would address the brakes and handling first, and a year ago I never thought I would say that!
If you want power then a S/C is the only way to go.
ITB's are not a daily drive option IMO.

Its hard to get big number gains on the S I'd reccomend attacking from both sides, Increase power + reduce weight after all its not headline power that counts and if you can do both of the above you also have the added benefit of the suspension and brakes not having to work quite as hard since there is less weight to haul around.
