H&T is essential to driving the car smoothly & swiftly. EoS.

Look at the example of the Japanese gentleman on the nearby video link - if you are not driving it like that, sell it & buy a slushbox.

I'm not so sure it's the light flywheel - it's just that the F20C has such a high compression ratio which means loads of engine braking.

I wasn't changing down gears - was just on the overrun in third, so H&T wasn't an issue. I'd expect it to lock the rears making trailing throttle down shifts.

It's not a criticism of the car really, but just a warning of what it can be like in very low grip conditions. I ended up left foot braking whilst keeping a slight pressure on the throttle. I couldn't afford to go much above 30mph either.

Light flywheel - low momentum engine will slow quickly.

Heavy flywheel - high momentum engine will slow erm slowly.

True, but the weight of the flywheels has more effect on throttle response. The amount of engine braking will ultimately be down to the compression ratio.

EDIT: The worst car I ever drove for that (heavy flywheel effect) was a Mondeo ST24. It was awful - you'd back off the throttle and it would keep accelerating!

Scooby's correct.

Most Hondas are pretty crap too, except for the B16 series and the F20c, which are both amazingly smooth and yet responsive.
