18" Wheels - Speedo recalibration?
A question for those who have changed their wheels:
Presumably this makes your speedo under-read more than usual. Have any of you had your speedo recalibrated, and if so, is it a simple job for any Honda dealer?

I'm going to get mine recalibrated if my 18" wheels ever arrive. I have had a quick look on the net and there are plenty of people who'll come out and see you or you can visit them.

Hi Alex,
You could check your speedo with a GPS device like Road Angel or Road Pilot.
Rick's Signature Accessories do a little device that allows you to recalibrate your speedo if its out.

IMHO The setup of the S2 is so precise I wouldn't want to change the rolling radius.
I went from
205/55/16 to 225/40/18 on the front
245/45/16 to 245/35/18 on the rear (NB 245/45 is the real size of the rear S02s )
If you use this calculator http://www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresize.html you will see that the diameter only changes by 5mm on the front and 2mm on the rear. Not enough to make a significant difference. (you change by that much with tyre wear anyway )
Chris.
