However it may be a long time before we see a re-11 here, afterall the re-01r was never available officially as it not e marked.
Bridgestone refuse to import the RE01 to the UK even to be sold with a track use only caveat, I tried both personally and professionally.

I can't see the RE11 being any different

Tire Rack in the US (possibly Canada) would sell me a set of RE01Rs, but they were going to work out about

What are they like in the wet though?
They are very good in the wet- I would say better than the RE050s. The only thing I haven't done is tracked them for a direct comparison with S02s, which I have tracked on the 16"s in wet and dry. They have very deep channels for funneling water out. The dry grip though, is noticeable the best that I have felt on this car, even against the wider REO50s on the 17"s.

But I guess all this is moot since they don't officially bring them there. How dumb.

Oh, and it does rain in the Tropics - no cold though

And yes, they are bloody expensive for me to bring into this country too from the Tirerack. But I have no choice as performance tyres of any caliber are not sold in this country. Thank the heavens we have no standards (other than DOT) for tyres so we can bring in anything that looks round and black and install them

I have driven an Integra with Toyo 888's on, too much road noise for every day use for me, but pretty damned good.

I know a few guys who thrash CRX's on a regular basis who swear by Goodyear Eagles, these are available in the right size, anyone tried them? Also, on mine, the RE050's on the front are 245/40/17, wouldn't going down to 215 be less grippy?

You've got the rear tyres on the front? Do they even fit on 7" wheels (or do you also have rear wheels on the front?).

I'll put money on Bridgestone saying the RE11s aren't suitable for UK roads.
