Default 13 Yr Annual Service

Guys,

Annual service is due.

Car has done circa 45K miles, and is serviced annually.

I've been quoted £300 inc VAT for the service (includes MOT & I provide my own oil) by my local Honda dealer.

Is this reasonable, or should I be going elsewhere, and if so, where ??

I would prefer to stay with a Honda dealer, and my location is NW London (Harrow).

Thanks
Bharat

I just had my actual 117k mile service and it cost £180 or so with them supplying all fluids etc.

Essentially, it's the 63k service, which is one of the smaller ones.

I got my little service done at Honda Newbury (who I like a lot) for £90 with me supplying the oil.

£300 with an MOT sounds very steep.

Bharat I'm in a similar situation. My 03 has only done 40k miles and was up for service and MOT this week. I had only done 1000 miles since last year's service and MOT. I asked my local Honda dealer (Colliers in Erdington) just to change the oil and filter, and do a mini service and the MOT. They did, and checked the car over. Nothing else needed doing. I had wondered whether they would say the front discs were overly worn (I am thinking of changing them) but they were fine and the dealer didn't try and persuade me otherwise! £144 all in. That includes parts and the oil. Pleased with that. And they washed and vacuumed the car.

Do it yourself or use a good local, pocket the change.

Yours must be among the oldest on here Bharat. I just had the 10th service on mine, 11th year or 99k miles. Cost £194 (incl wipers £8 ea). Its not been over 200 since the 54k so i expect next year will be pricey. The one after should be ok shouldnt it?

Ask them what they plan to do.
