12v outlet loose - what's involved?
The 12 volt outlet/ cigarette lighter has fallen out of the tunnel housing on my MY02. Retaining nut has vibrated loose.
What's involved in getting behind the trim to replace the nut?
Anyone done this and can give any tips, would be appreciated.
Cheers
Rich

It's just the panel behind the seat that you have to remove, then you can squeeze your hand in to do that nut up
Mine is loose too but haven't bothered to fix it yet!

Cheers mate - yes, mine was loose for a while too (one of those jobs I was "getting round to doing") but now completely detached so action required immediately!

Remove one side of the panels, lift the transmission console cover.
Undo the 2 screws to the front of the glovebox and the screw behind the panel you took off behind the seat. You can then get your hand in to slide the nut back up the cable and screw it all into place.
Wiggle the socket with something plugged into it as you tighten the nut, it will allow you to get it just that little bit more secure.
