12 month ban for racing

Hey, if you're good enough, you're old enough! Its just that if you tell people something enough times, they start to believe. I just like to challenge those common assumptions. Only the other day my girlfriend thought I was going to suffocate because I put a carrier bag over my head (I was just doing a piss take of something). Why? Because thats what is common knowledge. Stop believeing, do your own thinking.

That was a horse?! I know, I get that often. When I was a child 'Because it is' was a common response from my parents! Still, I only ever discuss in order to gather the truth. I hold everyones opinion as high as my own. If I cant understand something about their opinion, I will ask them to explain/challenge it. I have no problem with being 'wrong' so to speak, as long as I have learned something.

I still stand by my first post on this topic. Racing is a contest by its definition and neither 'racing' nor 'contest' fit the activity that I and many other car enthusiasts will engage in on the public road.
If I thump it off the last rights at the roundabout up the bypass to 110mph with a scooby trailling (hopefully) a car length behind then I'll happily take my points/ban for speeding. I'll also accept dangerous driving if there were other mitigating factors (rain, fog, lots of other cars around, etc) but I won't accept racing. I'm sorry but a race has a start, finish, purpose and objective and when I play with scooby's, vx-whatevers, etc I have no desire to win, lose, or get a hard-on. I'm simply enjoying my car and getting an appreciation for the relative performance of another vehicle. I'll shut down as soon as I want to or feel the conditions merit it no matter who is 'in front'.
Crail is racing, vtec 2nd through 4th for a bit of banter isn't...
