Eh? The guy said he was racing, which leads me to believe he was racing, and the other chap got away so couldn't be prosecuted.

And if they do kill themselves, amongst countless other things some poor sod has to scrape them off the road etc. Like gaddafi said, imposing their fun on everyone else.

There will be times when totally over the top sentences are given but this is a very clear cut case!
Based on that then, they should stop people getting pi55ed. I've had friends who have been seriously injured because some drunked fool threw a bottle at someone. I know of cases where people have died too. However, that is deemed acceptable.

The consumption of alchohol & the consumption of petrol are legal - when the consequence of excessive consumption is anti-social behavour, then there are laws which allow for prosecution.

your response is inadequate. These two people were racing, yes, but nothing happened. No on was annoyed, no one was injured. On that basis, they should stop people from getting pi55ed. Having a drink is fine, just not getting smashed. Even when they prosecute the pi55head, they dont take away his right to drink and give him a

So you condone anyone with a car and driving licence using the public highway as a racetrack ?

Just book on to a track day if this is what you want to do.

agree with Chris

if you want to use the road as a track (I do/have done)

best do it at 3am on some d/c (and accept the consequences)

or get on the track

No, I don't condone it. I don't condone getting unequivocally drunk out of your skull. Just after a bit of consistancy!

Booking a track day is a good idea, but you aren't allowed to race there either and you have to pay ~

[QUOTE=Hypersonik,May 24 2006, 01:25 PM] That was a shallow snobbish comment and it lacked thought. Shame on you.

First, when I actually save up enough to buy an S2K, it will be a 2nd hand model and cost ~

I am not condoing it. I dont agree that people should be able to use the highway as a race track. I'm just saying that I wish for a bit of consistancy with the punishment the law dishes out for crimes. In addition, if the road is empty, then I can't see anything wrong with someone and their friend having a bit of fun.
