I had a sideways moment on a roundabout in very heavy rain yesterday....in my "beater" Audi quattro. Very strange sensation and all manner of ESP/stability control stuff kicked in. Managed to catch it and slide out to looks of bemusement from other road users.

Be careful out there!!

Bada.... did you ever get your geo checked in your S2000?
Yeah, I got it completely re-done not long after I bought the car. It handled great wet or dry, but it was always truly terrible at dealing with standing water.

And that happens to you a lot? That's certainly not my experience. Most the accidents you see are as a direct result of people driving too close and being unable to stop. Speed and whether or not you're in a sports car aren't anything to do with it. If anything, flashy sports car drivers are more careful.

The Prelude drifts beautifully on wet roundabouts, unlike those manky old Krautwagens!

I'd agree with Dembo; the amount of tailgating tossers (usually in 40-tonne Cayennnes/Toerags) on soaking motorways is troubling.
