But as I stated above, I know one road very well where the S was all over the place at 70, and the Elise (and every other car that I've seen or driven in) doesn't bat an eyelid at much higher speeds.

There are loads of people on here who agree. I don't think they are all amatuers or dickheads either.
Exactly, you do not travel over 70mph on that section of road in the S just because you can in the Elise. Neither would you be so stupid as to corner a Lada at the same speed as the S.......would you?

It comes down to common sense. And the original poster IS a dickhead.

Do you know the OP?

Just wondering, you seem to know an awful lot about him to be able to refer to him in that way from a post!

Is this the question you wanted raising from your replies?

This has to be the most stupid and Idiotic post I have had the misfortune to read, but it reflects a growing trend of idiots who think brains are in their bollocks and not in their heads..

Does anyone on here really care how fast you say you can drive in the wet.....go away and push your cars around the carpet..before mummy tucks you into bed..
So WTF are you typing it?

The Elise has narrower tyres which must help
There's the answer: to all the people that think the S is a handful in the wet, fit narrower tyres. Maybe you could pick up 4 space savers? You'd never aqua plane with them on.

What was so wrong with the OP's post that has resulted in all of the comments about Dicks and Bollocks, has this turned into some sort of Gay forum where people want to come out of the closet?

FFS I just read it as a genuine post!

OK, I give up. We are all driving gods that drive the most dangerous car ever produced. It spins off with absolutely no provocation and just waits for any opportunity to throw itself into the nearest hedge especialy at the mere threat of dampness.
Of course this wayward behaviour has nothing to do with the driver does it,we are after all, driving gods.
