Default 100K Club

A day of mixed emotions.
My pride and joy passed its 100K marker on the way to work this morning without drama, exploding, coming to a shuddering halt etc for all of 2 minutes. Then a juggernaut passing in the other direction decided to join in the celebrations by throwing a large chunk of road at the windscreen and scored a direct hit, fortunately missing the paintwork. I saw it coming, it was big, and uttered the usual expletive just before impact as well as trying to duck. Result was one totalled screen and a lot more expletives!
Thank God for comprehensive insurance and National Windscreens Oxford (Ian Gurden) because one phone call and two hours later my baby has a nice new screen.
So, I join the 100K club and get a new windscreen - cant all be bad. Not so sure the insurance company will be pleased though, that screen costs, made my excess of £70 look puny!

Mine went over 100K on Thursday morning. And I'll be doing 1000 miles a week for the next 5 weeks.

Of course I am on my second engine, second gearbox, second suspension, and second set of wheels. Not to mention the second set of H badges. I think I still have the original wipers though, judging by how crap they are.

Trigger: And that's what I've done. Maintained it for 20 years. This old brooms had 17 new heads and 14 new handles in its time.
Sid: How the hell can it be the same bloody broom then?
Trigger: Theres the picture. What more proof do you need?

Great that so many are passing the 100K - should reach mine before the end of the month.
Original engine, gearbox, clutch....but then I expect I dont drive it as hard as many people here.
