Default 1000 miles overdue for a service

Hi guys,

So I realised I was due a service over the Xmas period and with garages being closed and booked up etc, I've not been able to get my S2000 in for a service.

I'm now about 500 miles overdue. I've booked in for service, but they can't fit me in before I'll have done another 500 miles, putting it 1000 miles overdue.

Do you guys think that it's worth worrying about or should I make arrangements to not drive the car until my appointment?

Thanks,
Hass

I think you'll be fine. Top fluids up if needed.

Personally I wouldn't worry, I'm sure people have gone a lot more than 1000 miles overdue. I'd check the fluid levels myself in the mean time.

Personally I'd just drive it a bit easier and keep an eye on the levels as above.

Ahh, ace!

Thanks guys.

I'll just have to not VTEC everywhere like I usually do eh? ;-)

Normally I wouldn't hesitate in doing it myself but I have to be able to "prove" I had it serviced for the warranty.

Thanks again!

Do check the terms of the warranty, as that's the only important factor here, the car will be fine otherwise.

Usually a warranty is valid as long as its within 1000 miles either side of when it's due. That's getting tight for you though with the expected mileage you'll do before your service. Your best bet will be to ask your warranty company for clarification though.
