are you sure the roof catch rattle isn't actually the sun visor against the screen frame? try lowering the visor - was all it was with mine

try jamming something like a towel hard under different parts of the seat - should help to narrow down the source

Sounds like they don't have a clue then

The mechanic who came out with me actually took the car away from me for about 20-30 minutes there and then to check it over; at this point I started to worry it was something safety-oriented !

Consiering last time I took it in there for this noise they couldn't hear a thing....
You can see the anti roll bar connecting points in this diagram (see bits 6 and 7):

Tis def. the catch; it buzzez rather than rattles, and only happens when the roof is up..

Will iron out this big nasty squeak, then see where we're at. I know where the seat creak is coming from but am fairly resigned to that. If I can sort out the other buzzes I can live it that

My driver's side roof catch has started to rattle this week I'm going to see if I can improve it tomorrow and then ask them to change it at the next service anyway.

Silicone spray is not a universal lubricant. I would use something like rubber and Nylon lube around the dash area.

I got some of the liquid leather today, will try it on my seats in the next few days. Hopefully it will cure that belt squeak!!
