Nope, the engine is sorted but there are still other outstanding issues - sure she will update this once it's all sorted to her satisfaction

Coming up to 25K miles in my GT100 and as yet no problem. It may be tempting fate, but hey that warranty is for!

Oh no!!!!!

Is this something I need to be worried about? I have just bought an 09 plate with 17k on the clock.

I thought i'd bought a car that had little reliability issues. This has now worried somewhat!

No. Just enjoy the car, and don't worry about what hasn't happened.

You have gurantee to spare, and it isn't such a widespread issue, just unfortunate that Honda went replacing blown engines with faulty ones. Although it wasn't confirmed I belive the problem was the quality of the big end bearings so thats what gets replaced. If you do start to get the rattle as you got your car from a Honda dealer you will have no problem getting it sorted. For peace of mind I personaly would take out an extended warranty to cover the car for am extra 3 years, that way you will be covered for a lot more that the engine for a relatively small cost. You can shop arround the Honda dealers and get the best price but still take the car to the one of your choice.

So like Integra man says, don't worry, drive it like you want, enjoy every second, and if the worst happens let Honda do the worrying. My S is a CAT D rebuild for the first six months I was mega paranoid of it falling apart, but like you said a car with few reliability issues.

I think the problems appeared long before anyone reached that mileage.?
