0-62mph 6.2s with hardtop removed?
Hi,
The standard specs for the S2000 say it does 0-62mph in 6.2 secs, is this with the hardtop off? If so, I wonder what it is with the hardtop on.
Also, since I have not had a chance to get my hardtop off yet, is there a noticable increase in performance when it is off? I believe its a 2 man job to remove and is a heavy little thing!
Cheers

It is not heavy.
It's just bulky. You will not be able to lift it off on your own
Do a search for DIY HARDTOP STAND.
I will try to find the link for you - but a search will keep you busy.
Get that top off matey

The hardtop will be a bit more aero at top end, but no notable difference at UK legal speeds.
I't wont make diddly to your 0-60 times.
If you wanted to drag race your pals at the lights, I'm afraid you made a terrible mistake buying this car, they are crap.

I guess what you're asking is does the extra weight of the HT increase the 0-60 time?
Or is it, does the HT give you better aerodynamics and therefore reduce the 0-60 time?
Well, all I can tell you is that on or off it doesn't seem to make much difference with a standard set up. Slick gear changes at the right revs will affect it more.
Please don't expect drag racer performance from the S2000, there's plenty of hot hatches out there that will cream you at the lights (as mentioned above). But if you're looking for open road top down action with the wind in your hair, sun on your face and some decent performance round the twisties, this is your baby
Oh yeah, please don't try and remove the HT on your own. It can result in a very nasty scratch on your beautiful paintwork
