I'm not bothered about styling, just want to improve the driving experience.

Should I skip bolt-ons completely and get a flashpro and a tune on a stock car, or will I get more out of a good intake and exhaust? There will probably be more done to it over the coming years but where would you start?
Use your bonus on a track day, it can cost quite alot and get some instruction on the day, trust me you will have much more fun than bolting some bits on your car, after your track day if you feel that your car needs more than 240bhp wait for your next bonus and spend spend spend

Brake cylinder brace, lower rear chassis brace, CAI, geo and coilovers. Think i may have blown the budget slightly there....!

I agree with front and rear lower braces first.

The rest you could spend on petrol enjoying it.

£1k? And you want performance.

You could spend thousands and thousands on engine mods to get 2/3 seconds per lap on any given track.

Or spend £800 on a set of sticky tyres and £200 on a track day and have a great time.

A few decent trackdays will give you far more enjoyment than cosmetic add ons.

£1000 won't buy you many extra horses, better to refurb wheels and get a front end respray to get rid of stone chips. And a good detailing.

Or use it to buy 700 litres of pure fun (wonder if any petrol Co would let you buy fuel up front?).

Save the £1000 and keep it hidden away, keep adding to it until you have enough to get a supercharger on it, thats what i am doing!

Easy one, Cold air intake and a CAT back Exhaust system makes it sound like a sports car!
