Bad luck Ian.

As others have said - it's at least 'lucky' that damage is confined to the panel.

Have you checked whether there is any damage to the rear scuttle - below the rear screen, and to the edges of each rear wing?

I'm afraid I'm not remotely surprised that there wasn't a note.

The world is full of liars and hypocrites.

You won't ever meet anyone who admits to this sort of behaviour - yet everyone seems to have been on the receiving end at some time.

Something wrong there.

Good luck getting it sorted.

The moral of the story is of course............

Not cool - hope you get this sorted out, and soon!

Quality support from the community but a few lame comments. What happened is way out of order, but then so is the suggestion of keying 4X4's, and parking in a disabled bay is pathetic.

I don't think this was serious comment iDle, do we really think that because someone jokes about keying a car then everyone will go out and do it

I did take it as a bit of a joke but seems to be a lot of negative posts, but no proof.

Hows about parking in disabled bays, that's ok is it?!

I agree it's wrong for people not to leave a note, however the cost of insurance is so high these days, and the "discount" con of no-claims stings you so badly that people are encouranged not to own up when they can get away with it.

It's very easy to sit here and preach about how terrible it is, no decency etc, however if you already have a

Sorry to see those pictures Ian - makes you mad.
Re hit and run parking, I was reversed into by a 4x4 er (in wives car not the S); he caved in the front wing and drove off as I got out to inspect the damage (he had seen me get in to the car but still managed to hit it). I chased him down the street shouting but he just kept on going. Luckily I got the reg but insurance co said it was a Civic not 4x4.

Anyway, reported to police and paid for repair, 3 months later I get a letter from the dibble, they got 'im! He was done for driving with out due care and attention, got a fine, points and had to attend a driving improvement course, funded out of his own pocket. Oh yeh, one week later he got my insurance claim too!!!

So seems if you can get him, the dibble will follow up.

Good luck with CCTV.
