Surrey And Sussex Autumn Run - Sunday 9th November *
Last year we had a very pleasant Autumn run through the Surrey, Hampshire and Sussex countryside. Unfortunately the autumn colours hadn’t fully come out but we’ll give it another try this year.
This is a nice way to finish up the driving meet season, so for your calendars:
Date: Sunday 9th November – we have a sensible start time at 09:00 from Surrey Uni in Guildford (GU2 7XH)
Route length: approx 90 miles. Please arrive with a full tank of fuel.
Route: This year I’m planning on heading a little further east into the Surrey Hills and then South towards the South Downs. It will be a mix of A and B roads and a few winding back roads.
The run will be fairly leisurely so we can enjoy the views and will only take place if conditions are favourable (i.e. no heavy rain or ice) and hopefully many of the cyclists will have hung up their lycra for the winter.
We’ll have a few scenic stops along the way where you can grab refreshments and we’ll finish up at a country pub for a late lunch - the White Horse in near Pulborough.

Afterwards if its nice you might want to join us in a Sunday afternoon stroll around the wildfowl reserve which is next door to walk off that extra roast potato you wish you hadn't eaten !

As this run is weather dependant we will keep the reservations for lunch even if we dont do the drive. i.e. it will become a pub meet.

Shame we can't combine with the Goodwood Breakfast Club - http://grrc.goodwood.com/breakfast-club/2014-calendar.
But that would mean a very early start...
