Perhaps a combination Surrey/Sussex meet? The last one I went to was a bit of a trek away (years ago so don't ask me where or which meet it was!). Something less than an hour would be great!

or a surrey/ sussex/ kent meet, Just off the m25 at Westerham is the famous Grasshopper pub, good place to meet then off for a drive

The Westerham idea is a good one, not far from M25 J6, and pub has huge car park.

I'd vote for this

Not really a Surrey meet if its in Kent but maybe someone local could put a date on the Meets Section then and lets see who can make it....

I really enjoyed the Brighton run.
It gave a purpose and occasion, which was topped off with friends and a bit of social activity.
I'd be up for more of those on a semi regular basis, which I think people would be more likely to commit/make time for.
Perhaps things like:
Surrey hills drive (slightly shorter than the previous to take account of lunch etc)
South Downs
New Forest

All look to be achievable on a day without getting started too early or it becoming too much like hard work

Alternative would be to pick a destination or "thing" - I dunno - Brooklands? Duxford? - that gives a purpose to the day, and a drive to complete....

Just throwing it out there.....

I like Maby's ideas here. Always something going on somewhere even in the winter.

I wont be organising a surrey hills run this year. simply don't have the time to organise it. and I have a feeling i might lose my patience with our beloved cycling community at some stage

I'd be up for a semi regular run

Although nearer, the Ricky Run is a tad too early on a Sunday fit me

I've never been to an S2k meet before but once she's back on the road I'll be looking to come! Surrey would be fun as its on my doorstep and there are some nice pubs about!
