Intermediate group caught slow group at 35 miles, S200 VMC was at the back, I think I mentioned this earlier in thread, and we all drove behind them with no overtaking until got to the lake/toilet stop, where we stopped, and let a gap build up again - fast group must have caught us while we were taking a leek.

OK I'll own up to being at the front after Vernon's navigational aid let him down and leading the group around Lake Vrynwy and over the single track road to Bala. But I'd like to submit three extenuating circumstances for the convoy developing over this stage
1) Pete did say cross those cattle grids "SLOWLY".

2) Passing a landrover towing a trailer full of sheep on that road, forget it

3) I suffer from vertigo at the best of times and this route came without a health warning

Still I would have loved to have been the last in the group to pass the driver of the car who pulled in at the end of that track to let us pass. I had said there was one or two more following his face must have been a picture.

Colin - just back from hols, and don't appear to have received a ticket

Reckon it must be thanks to you having been so close to my rear bumper, there's no way they could have snapped my registration - cheers

If loads of Ss are in convoy in a group, wouldn't that be a little unhelpful for cars which are trying to overtake the last car in the convoy? Not having been to a SM before it could be that gaps occur naturally and this isn't a problem.
