Have a great time guys, I wish I could come but it's the weekend when my parents and the future in-laws meet up for the first time before our wedding in November.

So I have to stay here and referee, I'm told.

It has to rain at Spa, it's the law.

I don't think I've ever been there in the dry. If you lot get away with it I'll be doubly jealous.

Was dry last year, forecast is good, don't want to tempt fate though...!

I'm a bit unsure about insurance this year...

Think I might cover the car for the Ring, but Spa... Just gets very pricey otherwise... Thoughts Mark?

Sporting cliche no. 107

"At Spa, one part of the track can be completely dry, whilst at the other, it's soaking wet."

MB's forecast currently shows 10% chance of rain on Monday and 0% for Tuesday

Sporting cliche no. 108

"Spa has it's own micro-climate"

Hope it doesn't rain, I don't fit with the soft top up and my helmet on, I'll look like a power bulge in the roof.

My avatar didn't change last night when I tried!!! must be slow electric in Brizzle!!!!

I'd probably insure for the Ring, but I wouldn't for Spa.

The Ring is a bit of a free for all, plus they charge you for breaking bits of it, so if you're punted off by Herr Golf MkII and hit the armco, your car and their scenery could end up costing quite a bit - I see on PH there's now a company that insures specifially for the Ring, I'd certainly be tempted.

Spa, for all it's elevation and reputaion is a trackday, I choose not to insure for trackdays - everyone is circulating the same way, there are rules for overtaking and the morons can be seen (and therefore avoided) fairly easily. It's not racing and as long as you drive within your limits the chances of damage are slim. I hope

Accordin to the BaT guide, they do charge you for armco repairs at Spa, not that I'm planning on destroying any. I suspect that it would be difficult to be going fast enough in an S2000 to get anywhere near it.

Oh dear... that's done it...

Dave, I hope we can garner some interest for an evening meal.
Im travelling over with MB and a couple Lotus lads on Sunday and we'll be there about 8PM.
We're all dotted about, so if not Sunday shall we get a group meal and beers in Spa on the Monday night perhaps?

Cheers Mark. I concluded the same. I'm not daft enough to bin it myself (normally!) so my main worry is others. And that means the Ring!

Simon, some bits of Spa are quite tight in terms or run off but generally it's fine. Ask poor Kobe who destroyed his S at Ea Rouge though! But I think it's 70% got good run off.

My first laps were in the wet, and I was crapping myself - but you soon get settled in.

I'm like a kid at Christmas again

Steve et al, i'm sure we can sort a meal.

Oh, a chap who came with us last year without a car, is now coming in his new RS6
