YES - It's still on!
Cheers for the suggestions on the route Gar09, I'll have a look now.
Also, there is a two lane country road south of Liphook called Linch Road which I took on the way home from the Festival of Speed which was pretty fun, so we could hit the tunnel 3 times and then head on down that way.

Also planning on trying to leave London at 6:45am(!) ish, if everyone else is keen on an earlier start. Which would mean we could try and get out of Guildford around or just after 7:30am....

Gaddafi, cheers for the warning. Looks like they hit 15 people during the May Goodwood Breakfast Club. We will have to be extra careful round there...which is annoyingly quite a bit of the route

Hi Vixen, Yeah it is an early start for a Sunday! Just waiting to see what the consensus is from everyone on when to head out. Obviously we want quiet roads!
I was contemplating on a last minute change to the route and going West toward and past Winchester instead, if Goodwood/Penrith etc. is going to be peppered with Police. The A31 is quite a nice road to breeze down on the way back to Guildford....
Any thoughts?

830am sounds much better if people are up for that?
We'll just follow the leader! haha. Just make sure everyone is on ZELLO so we know which turning we are taking next etc in case some get help up at lights.

8.30 sounds good to me. On radio today they were saying the is likely to be a lot of pressure on the A3 due to A25 closure all day. Just need to work out how to get to you now

So for now we are meeting on Sunday 4th August 830am at Ladymead Guildford Retail park (Halford's side) GU1 1AJ!!!
Either way, let's definitely do the tunnel. I hope everyone has an aftermarket exhaust haha! Video recording is set and ready!
