Great post Roadie. Great story and a great "middle distance pose inspiring" pic.

BTW I was out washing again on Saturday evening, also in the rain, you know.

Glad you got back OK, regards to Thursday - and see you in August.

On my "Not-Surprised-In-The-Least" Scale of 1-10, where "1" is sheer amazement, that comment rates as a "14".

Heartfelt congrats and thanks to everyone who helped organise. Not even:

the rain (it wasn't that bad by Isle of Man standards!)
being sick as a dog on the ferry coming home last night
finding myself in the 'wrong' group on leaving Portmeirion
not taking any action photos because we were enjoying the driving so much
meeting an articulated lorry coming in the opposite direction on a single track section of road
getting lost on the way back up north
having to share the car with a 5ft didgeridoo on the way home (no, not my navigator!)
being able to access the site this morning because it was so busy
failing to say to enough members

can detract from the good time we had. Most of the roads were a real blast, even in those weather conditions. I particularly liked the stretch labelled "Narrow Mountain Road" where we didn't see another car for miles and I could practice donuts in the car park before anyone else arrived

Will post some pics when I've got my act together...

Thanks Pete and 'bon chance' on your move - how much charity money was raised?
