Not long now

Had 4 new tyres fitted today as others were "questionable" to say the least !!

Also had brake fluid changed to Lucas dot 5.1 & new pads all round (EBC redstuff ceramics to use on trackdays only)
Need 200 miles on 'em to bed 'em in, so guess what I'll be doing tomorrow!!
Has anybody else tried these before, or am I a guinea pig ????

Can't wait till Sunday, see you all there.
My plans for tonight have changed so I'm back again.

Got you PM Dan. Anyone else up for an evening meal and have ANY idea where to go. Otherwise we'll probably end up at one of those pubs that's usually next to a travelodge etc.

Colly, plenty of people have used redstuff before, so you're trailing a blaze so to speak.

And Ian, this week has seen a 36k service, 2 new fronts tyres, new pads all around, brake fluid change, and a full geo and castor bolts unseized by Chris Franklin.

Right all.

I've now had two recommendations for a good pub, which has bar food and also a restaurant. The Bell Inn in Little Addington. It's just over 4 miles from the Rushden travelodge, and about 10 miles from the Kettering one. I've been assured it has very good food.

I went to have a look at it tonight but was too late to get inside to have a look. It does have a good car park for our cars.

If you are all interested let me know. I'll come along for a drink, maybe a small bite too. I can come via the Travelodge in Rushden en route to it to pick some of you up.

Let me know if you want to go there.

Sounds good to me, so is the the "final" plan for a meet-up tonight.

I have Dan's mobile number (and he mine). Won't be getting up there until before about 8pm.

Hopefully see you all later.

Cheers,
JG

PS. Forecast has brightened up

I've always had redstuff on mine. They're great as road pads too, so don't worry about that.

Got the Ferodos to put on today, so I'll tell you tomorrow if they're worth the extra money. All I need now is to find a few miles of empty road to bed them in properly. Apparently there's some kind of sporting event on today which hopefully will keep the roads quiet.
