Can't wait for Sunday!
However I've just looked at the weather forecast and it doesn't look good
I have some old tyres that have just about the legal tread left but will be absolute sh1te if it rains
What should I do?
Risk the old tyres and have some fun sliding around?
Buy some new ones straight away and they'll be run in for Sunday?
Down side is either I have a sh1t track day in the wet but not ruin new tyres or do I buy new tyres and have a good day but end up ruining a new set of tyres!?
Too many questions, not enough time!!

Well, if it's wet, your tyres will hardly wear at all, or at least that's my experience from a previous wet trackday, so it's hardly a problem either way.
As I mentioned above, the 5 day forecasts are usually rubbish so I'd not worry about it for a few days...

TBH, I'd recommend changing your tyres. If you're below 3mm you have a lot less grip as the compound changes, the tyre blocks move less, making it harder to generate heat. This is made worse if it's wet.
However if it is wet and you don't change tyres, it will be a good handling lesson
And if you're getting RE050's, it's not a problem, you won't ruin them on one track day. They're both grippy and reasonably hard wearing. The only unknown is how bad the surface is on your tyres. It's not going to be like Elvington though which destroys tyres.
