John,
Welcome along - why not join in too?
It's all good fun

Failing that, bring a helmet and come and have a passenger ride.

Go on John, you know you want to. It's an open pit lane so you can do as many or as few laps as you like. It's not a race, so you don't need to prove anything and can drive at the speed you feel comfortable with.

Hi I'm new here but think I will come and watch maybe meet a few of you!
I'm new here too but booked my place a while back. If you are thinking of a track day, then going with this group couldn't be a better intro as there will be plenty of friendly help on the ground....at least I hope so!!!
You and I can potter around at "newbie" pace gaining our confidence.
Go on...you know you want to ;-)
PS. Look back at this thread for some helpful hints on preparing for a track day and a good book to get.
Cheers,
JG

Yes there will be plenty of people around to help. Passenger spots are available if you just ask. if you spot anyone going out on there own, ask for a lift. It won't always be yes, but more often than not. I always like at least one session on my own.
And people are happy to sit in and give pointers, or the tuition for 20 minutes is cheap (edited from isn't, don't know where that came from!)

Welcome aboard.
I will be doing my first Trackday here too.
I went along to spectate at Donington last Nov & really wished that I was out there driving instead.
Go on, bite the bullet and book it up.
You won't regret it & you'll be in great company.
The other guys are a great bunch & more than happy to advise.
Hope to see you there.

I'm always happy to give lifts, as well as sit in with noobs and give some pointers from the standpoint of being very average! All part of the fun of the day really!

I'll take you up on the offer of a newbie lift and I'm also more than happy to offer a lift too (for those brave enough to ride with newbie ;-), either for the advice or just for the ride.
just checked out accomodation nearby, ended up at:
