S2KI Trackday- Rockingham Sunday 20th May

Dumb newbie question, this being my first track day.
What's the general advice on insurance?
I'm reading the Track Day book posted previously (a good read!) but I haven't found a section covering that.
It being my first track day I'm planning on taking things relatively easy with my bog standard car and bog standard ability!
Obviously if I trash it then that's my fault, but what happens if you hit someone else or they hit you?
I've got a couple of quotes (just for interest) and these appear to cost more than the day itself :-( and don't actually cover 3rd party.
My standard road insurance doesn't have a track day option (I know the answer to that will be to change it then!).
What's the general wisdom on this?

bookatrack days tend to be well organised, well marshalled and as it's an s2000 (and friends) day there's far less potential for people trying to show off.
everyone here loves thier car and respects each other.
obviously accidents can happen but as long as you drive within your limits and stick to the rules the chances of it all going wrong are greatly reduced.
track day insurance is pretty expensive, especially if you do more than 1 a year, the fact that most people dont bother also tends to ensure they are all pretty careful! (apart from the 'other' 3 series at donnington last Nov!!)

Thanks all, looks like I'll pass on the insurance.
I'm pretty sure my abilities will give out long before the car does and hopefully that'll avoid disaster!
I'm really looking forward to having a blast without worrying about the "normal" road hazards and my licence!!!
The Wet grip sounds interesting too as being an s2k newbie I still don't know the limits in the wet and a lot of the media stuff make such a big thing of the "snap" oversteer that I'm probably still over cautious.
