Cheers for the feedback. I did try a few different ways, I guess I assumed the ones I used were quickest. Kirkby's got better near the end
From looking on all the vids I have though I'm certainly not consistent with my braking points, I definately kept braking too early for Gracelands, think Jonny's briefing stuck in my mind too much for that one. (Off camber and tightening at exit).
And Turn 4 I wanted to stay away from the big ugly wall.

Yup there's awlways a balance. I'm sure I could go a few seconds faster around most tracks if I knew I could get home / be given money for a new car if I smashed it up, but to me it's just not worth it.

Rather absurdly, turning in too early for both corners is likely to lead to a gravel/wall incident.
A late turn in makes it much easier to go faster, and you can worry less about braking points - they really are the last thing to get right in terms of going fast IME.
In other words, you'll gain more time from getting the steering right than you will by being last of the late brakers.
With the right turn in and steering, it's quite easy to take the Oval turn flat out, and also not to be scared
But, as MB says, getting home in one piece always takes precedence.

I think I would be slower trying to get the lines perfect than just driving near to the right line and braking late.
Most the time I gain more by missing an Apex and braking late than braking to earlier but hitting the Apex bang on in my experience as I caught most the other S2000 drivers in the braking zone.
How quick were other people taking the Oval turn?

You might be to start with, but in the end, the right line is always quicker.
Don't forget the concertina effect that occurs under braking.
I was taking the oval turn flat in 4th.

I wasn't quite brave enough to take the banked corner flat out, that big concrete wall was a bit scary. I was generally doing it about 90-95 though.

Lines look good, I can see the much wider line at Kirkbys that you are taking too -shame you get stuck behind some of the other cars.

But by hitting the apex and getting your turn in right you get on the power earlier. So those S2000's you caught in the braking zone would then have pulled away from you by getting on the power early.
I mentioned one BaTcat that was the only car that was held me up over the course of the day. That was one of the R300's, we were in a superlight. The R300's have more power than the superlights and are a fair bit quicker.
I was sitting on his backside all the way through all the corners in the infield but he would pull away from me on straights because of the extra power the R300's have over the superlights. Because he kept pulling away on the straights i think he thought he was quicker so didn't want to let me past.
Ultimately, he let me past when i took a better line through the left hander after the pifpaf, got on the power earlier and pulled alongside before he was able to use the greater power of the R300 engine.
Late braking makes you feel that you're going fast because it makes you feel like the car is working harder and therefore must be faster, but its not the quickest way around the circuit.
