No, not going to happen. The initial cost plus ongoing increase in tyre costs are the main reason. Especially when track miles represent such a small percentage of the overall. The improvement in ride quality the low weight BBS 16s outweighs the track considerations too.

I agree with Mark, some 17s wrapped with good tyres should be on Simon's shopping list and some instruction sessions

The best setup was slightly stiffer at the rear (22 vs 20), although it's worth remembering that the front springs are stiffer on my car 400F/300R.
The front springs are stiffer on mine too - or at least they're meant to be.

I've changed all my pads today and there was next to nothing left of the rears, and nothing worth saving left on the fronts. All four were very stiff to push back in, and one of my fronts has a torn rubber boot. And the slight misfire wasn't some oil on the coil like last after Spa and did it again today.

So basically I need to fix the engine, suspension and brakes. Then I'm okay.

Dembo, your engine issue sounds frustrating. Did you ever get your valve clearances done?

Who was it who had my old brake pads anyway? I didnt really put that many faces to names!

My rear wheels have white dust on and the fronts have brown dust on, looks wierd. I think I have blown a baffle out of the exhaust too as it sounds very different post-trackday to pre-trackday. I'm sure it had some abuse when it was on PJLs car so no wonder.

Two videos.

One in-car, apologises for the sound but I dont think it liked the noise of my car, either that or the gaffa tape holding it to the roof frame was doinging something funky.

Critique freely

Main bank I could hold at 95-96, certainly couldn't keep it pinned around there

Never done that. I'm 99% sure all my previous misfire issues were caused by one coil failing (and then another coil failing later, but that was easy to diagnose). I have four coils from a newer car now.

Would valve clearances explain a sudden and intermittent reduction in power that goes away after a couple of seconds? I don't think so - something like that must be electrical surely.
