S2ki Trackday - Rockingham 18th September 2010

Just got back to Reading, the Bullet cam footage looks ok for a guessed viewpoint, the mic is awful though as it sounds like it cant cope with the noise of my car.
Memory card filled up on the last session too, ah well better than nothing. Car was a bit bumpy on the way down as the Konis ended up being set pretty stiff, amazing how different it feels on the road to the track.
I'll get some clips up once I've edited and compressed them.

Really like Rockingham a lot so thanks to lee, my instructor who pushed me (and my brakes!) plus Jonny and his team as I didn't come across any inconsiderate driving that I can think of. Nice to see everyone again and can't wait til March to start over again.

We had an excellent day too. Very well organised, there was little traffic on track - and particularly considerate driving meant this was one of the most enjoyable track days I've been on. Great to see so many S2000 people there.
My brother and I covered 180 track miles, and so I need to change my brake pads before I go anywhere in the S again. (Which is likely to be Oulton for the next outing on 12th November). The pads were new on for yesterday. That's the first time I've got through a complete set on one day. (Yellowstuff: but they worked very well during each session, and didn't fade, which is the main thing.)
I must compliment the bacon/sausage people too: that home produced farm bacon bap was just the perfect thing with a mug of tea when we arrived at the track. I'd been rather fearful that we might have to eat the standard Rockingham meat produce, which from previous experience doesn't contain all that much meat.

Fantastic day out and good to meet up with some more s2000 owners. Managed to get home although had to put up with an irritating screeching noise from my rear brakes as there non existent!

I had a really good day and was great to be faces to some names
Instruction was really good and made the day a lot more enjoyable.
I've got a video that I did on my iPhone of a few of us in convoy but it's going to take awhile to upload.
Am very tempted to rent one of the BaT Caterhams for next time though. Be nice to thrash someone else's car

No problem guys as long as we see you on track in your own next time.
