Cool. I have to ask a pretty stupid question, but what will everyone be wearing?
I might have Koenigsegg underpants on. Just in case.

THIS is the best reference we've found for weather forecasts at race circuits - even includes predicted track temps for some some circuits!

Top-tip for the newbies - get an instructor in with you for a session, it's worth every penny and will transform your understanding of how to drive on track !

I was hoping to be a late sign-up for this one myself but I'm going to be working a few miles south at Silverstone next weekend so hope you guys all have a good one!

OK so I have a shiny new lid (note to self: remove the stickers from the visor before the weekend) and I've booked a hotel for the night before. I've booked a couple of instructor sessions, one in the morning and and afternoon.

What else do I need to do / bring. I'm not planning on racking up loads of laps or pushing to the limits. My brakes have 20,000 miles of road driving on them will I die in a fireball?

Nice one. I def want the top down and was even going to fit the tonneau cover for the occasion. When you say towing eyes, does that mean I have to find another towing eye?
You don't have to fit any towing eyes.

But if you put your car into the gravel or the tyre wall then they will throw a hook around anything to pull you out.

If you only have one towing eye you need to make sure that isn't the end that goes into the gravel or tyre wall first.......

Its nothing to get too worried about, but if you can get your hands on a second towing eye it its definitely preferable to fit one at each end of the car.

Check how much pad material you have left. You need at least 4mm+ to be safe.

Make sure you wear a long sleeve top and trousers (ie no t-shirt and shorts), empty your boot of all loose items, and bring a few bottles of water with you. You find yourself breathing harder than you normally would and you dehydrate quickly.
