Probably not the best place to ask, but will 3mm tread be enough for a trackday? The reason I ask is I still have the 16's that came with the car and the fronts have 3mm left and the rears about 5mm.

S02's?
That'll be enough tread for the day as the fronts don't take so much of a hammering.
Plan to replace them after the day though.

I've not driven RE050A's on track, but if they're anything like the MZ's the rubber gets more wear resistant once they get down to about 3mm.
On the road that means lower grip, but on track you'll get them hot enough that that doesn't matter.
Fun in the wet though!

Ive got about 5mm on my fronts and my rears are pretty much illegal atm
looking at getting a pair of RE050A on the rear and then replace the fronts after if they are bad.
would anyone suggest going for them or would something else be better?
i use the car for about 200 miles a week on a mix of motorway and good A/B roads so dont want anything too sticky that wont last long and im on stock 16's
