Evening all,

I've been discussing the next S2ki trackday with BaT and am proposing Rockingham on Saturday 18th September. We've done it a few times now, but it's nice and central(ish) and i've got a good deal on it from Jonny Last year's one clashed with JAE so i'm hoping we get a good turn out this time...

I'd like to encourage anyone who's thinking of attending a track day, but hasn't yet done one. If you've any questions about what a day entails or any preparation you need to do to your car, feel free to ask away on this thread or book and and ask for some guidance on the day. There will be plenty of experienced trackdayer's on the day willing to pass on the benefit of our experience, and we welcome newbies. We know that once you've done your first day, you'll be hooked!

On to the price... It's advertised at £245, but if we can get 12 S2ki members booked in before the end of July, we can get it for £200 and some garages thrown in! Good deal

The circuit itself is based in Corby, Northants, so nice and central. Its just off the A14 and easily reached from the M1 and the M6, directions can be found here

Noise limit for the day will be 103db, making it suitable for pretty much all S2k's.

As I said in the other thread, I may be interested. Need to check a few things - out of interest what tyres will everyone be using?

I was planning to wait for some track tyres (as my budget tyres keep over heating on track and making the car slide constantly) - but if everyone else is on road tyres it won't be so bad.

Vast majority will be on road tyres, Paul, so no worries.

bookatrack also sell and fit tyres (toyo / yokohama) and tend to be the best price.
