A good day out with a bunch of thoroughly nice people, and the weather was a bonus too.
Although the big left hander and the heat didn't do my tyres much good, I had a great day out and enjoyed getting to grips with Rockingham, the first time I've driven there.
I'm glad Sazzy's got the bug, you drove well considering you were a little intimidated by some of the more track oriented machinery there, hubby's right though, ditch the Honda and get yourself a Lotus
Enjoyed passengering with Ciderboy who was determined to get the Elise sideways in as many places as possible
Hangover just about went by the end of the day, just in time to start all over again at the Oyster Festival in the evening.....

Useful, didn't get to chat much but was trying to find you towards the end to say hello.
Lovely drive back across the fens, though, roof down all the way.
I was a bit nervous about tracking an S again, given my previous experience.
Once the instructor had told me to stop trying to heel-and-toe, I was enjoying it lots.
Managed 110 through the fast apex, reaching 120 before the hairpin.
Best bit: trying to keep with the traffic out of the pits, hairpin on cold tyres, drifting all the way out to the kerb. Thanks Mr. Andy Walsh & Mr. Boab01 for your lovely suspension setup

Aha - great day out that folks, thoroughly enjoyed it, even if I got a a bit of a smoker! Turns out it's due to the long right hander, I was going in at 110 and getting hear 130 before the hairpin, so the constant G was too much for the wet sump and was squeezing the oil into the block.
Not an uncommon occurance apparently and there some form of tinternet fix. All running as it should be now
Apologies for not giving any more pax laps - Mark, Mark and Sarah - the smoker situation and the rate at which I was going through the tyres slighty curtail the day! Worth to be able get it to spin up at 70mph was great fun!
Cheers
Rich

Rich, still buzzing from the passenger lap - superb
I have been looking at Caymans on Pistonheads
What's the sump fix out of interest? Baffled one?

Excuse the slightly off centre camera positon, makes some of the left handers not so viewable!
(apparently takes 2 hours for Vimeo to process it?!)

And it was the version of Rockingham with the ridiclously long 270 degree almost in one corner fast left hander. Not so bad on the brakes in that configuration, but eating the tyres.
The Reno was still hungry even after eating its tyres.
And so it had a munch on the cones too
