Managed to get down for half an hour or so at the end. Spoke to Rob, sorry Simon I didn't see you with your car but saw you in action - Robin, I didn't see your car move, sorry! You were very lucky with the weather.

Superb, looks like a quiet / dry day.

Hope there were no casualties!

It was a great day, and as you can see from Gav's photos the weather was very kind to us. This was the first time I have been to Oulton Park on a dry track, even at Druids where the trees overhang. [The 4 times I've been there in the past have always been wet or damp for much of the day.]

There were no casualties among S2000ers as far as I know, and all the red flags (I think there were about 4 in the morning) happened when I was drinking tea, so my day was largely uninterrupted. About 20 minutes before the lunch break my party walked up to Lodge to view the action, and in the space of 10 minutes we saw about 4 cars either in the gravel or skewing over the grass, and an MX5 hit the barriers after spinning. That was a red flag event. I didnt see any debris or oil on track to cause that: we just thought people were having a mad 10 minutes before lunch and really going for it. Rather glad we weren't out on track then. I confess it made for entertaining viewing.

In the afternoon there was a red flag just as I set out for the pit lane, so I had to wait in a queue for 10 mins. Generally good manners out on track, and not too busy.

A well run event by Trackaction-online, so thanks to Steve and Phil for that. Looking forward to whatever next year holds. I fancy going to Donington again.

Here’s a few of our snaps from the day -

Just want to say thanks to all the guys that came along to this one, everyone was commenting on how friendly everyone was both on and off the track which is exactly what we are looking for on our club events .

Next up is Brands so hope to see you all there! (Mark, you have PM!)
