Oh FFS, too close to ignore. New discs & pads going on this Friday so it would be daft not to have a hoon around a track. I'm a possible subject to work.

2) Robin A3
3) Jayboy83
4) AquilaEagle?
5) LTB?

I am paid up.

If its dry then i'll bring the Honda, if its wet then i will bring the Polo as its less likely to go backwards into the armco!

Quick question.

Will it be possible to hire a helmet at the circuit or do you have to supply your own?
Lee, I hired at helmet at Brands Hatch during a taster session a few weeks ago. Never again....its a lot more hygienic to bring your own.

How did you get on with the circuit, especially padock hill bend ?

Only asking as I'm doing a day there towards the end of September.

We have our own helmets that we hire out at £10 for the day.

Ours are pretty new and clean (the one at Brands was probably still warm from the last guy ) but I would always rather have my own lid as well. If this is a one-off or first try at trackdaying then you may want to hire one but it would be high up on the list of things to buy if you were to do this again.

I did a 20 minute taster session organised by MSV. It was well run but a bit too many cars on track for my liking.

My car held out well for 15 minutes and lost traction on Paddock Hill Bend. I managed to correct it but my confidence was dented so I pitted in a plume of smoke from the brakes

I'll be taking regular timed stops at Rockingham. I really enjoyed driving at Brands and I'll going back again. The circuit was short and fast. As you come around Graham Hill bend...power power power!!

Who's organising the event you are attending at Brands?

Any non-members can book HERE but it's worth getting the membership - it will be paid for by the discount on the trackday!

Brands always feels busy because they are licenced to run a lot of cars for a relatively short circuit but Paddock Hill is one of those corners that you have to drive to believe!

Here's a shot from when we ran there earlier in the year -
