S2ki Trackday - Oulton Park - Friday 1st March *

Very, very, very tempted by this.
After toying with the idea of tracking it, then deciding not to, I'm toying again.
I've read the sticky re: track days etc. and I'm reassured that I won't break my car, but I still have reservations. It's my DD and although I can freely work from home if I want to, I don't want the boss to think I'm taking the p*ss.
What would I need?
1. Helmet - can be hired
2. Tuition - it's free (yay!)
3. Uprated pads? I've been running Mintex on Bremtech discs for the past year.

1 Yes and you can hire one for a tenner on the day.
2 Yes, a massive help (but I would say that!).
3 You can run it on standard pads but I'm sure there will be good advice on here about the best upgrades.

Montag you will be fine - as long as you take it as your own pace and being aware of faster cars behind you and letting them past safely you will be fine :-)
The s2000 is good fun on track so come along and have a go :-)

Btw if anyone needs use of a garage then you are more than welcome to share mine - just look for a short yellow guy fixing a shagged grey polo - that'll be me.
