I've not been to one of your days for a while, but one thing that I know another trackday company do, in the briefing, specifically regarding running out of petrol - this is completely unforgivable and avoidable. They impose a fine of £50 on anyone who runs out on track, that £50 goes to the Marshalls association. I think this is a great idea, and should always be mentioned in the briefing. You may do something similar but I don't remember hearing it in any of your briefings

That's a fair one and Jonny generally does mention it on his days; I don't include it in mine because whilst it is a particularly annoying mistake, I can't remember the last trackday where I actually saw it happen (despite either attending, running or instructing at about 50 trackdays a year).

I must admit that Friday did make me wonder whether a no-excuses sin bin would be a good idea for any red flag offenders where they are kept off track for an hour if they cause a red but I as a trackdayer I wonder if it would come across as rather mean to start the day with that kind of policy
